Three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainee officers, currently undergoing training at the Chhattisgarh Administration Academy in Nimora, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in Raipur today to seek his guidance.

 

Congratulating the trainee officers on their success, Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that the administrative service is the most effective medium for public service and that the role of an administrative officer is crucial. He emphasized that the decisions made by an administrative officer impact the lives of thousands; therefore, public interest must remain paramount in every decision.

The Chief Minister urged the officers to discharge their duties with sensitivity, impartiality, and dedication, and to engage directly with the people to understand their issues.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the knowledge gained during education and training holds true value only when it is utilized to bring about positive changes in the lives of the common people and society at large.

Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that Chhattisgarh is a state brimming with potential. He described the local people as simple, approachable, hardworking, and warm-hearted. He briefed the officers on the state's socio-economic conditions, rapidly improving connectivity, tourism potential, the success of Naxal eradication efforts, and the state's developmental journey.

 

 He also shared his insights regarding Chhattisgarh's cultural diversity, tribal traditions, and emerging opportunities for development.

The Chief Minister told the trainee officers that every decision made with honesty, integrity, and a spirit of public service plays a vital role in the development of the state and society.

 

The trainee officers informed the Chief Minister that, during their training, they had the opportunity to visit the Sukma and Bijapur districts in the Bastar division, as well as the Jashpur, Surguja, and Koriya districts in the Surguja division. During these visits, they studied local life, culture, development activities, and administrative systems, and also visited the Maa Danteshwari temple.

 

Sharing their experiences, the officers remarked that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in diversity, cultural heritage, and warmth. They were deeply impressed by the affection of the local people, the tribal traditions, and the potential to bring about positive change in society. He stated that serving the public interest through the administrative service is both a matter of pride and a responsibility for them.

 

During the meeting, the trainee officers shared their experiences, challenges, and inspiring anecdotes related to their preparation for the administrative service. Drawing upon his own experiences in public life and public service, the Chief Minister encouraged them to remain continuous learners, stay connected to the grassroots level, and adopt a humane approach in their work.

 

It is noteworthy that Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainee officers Mr. Gokul R.K., Mr. V. Yashwant Nayak, and Mr. Ishant Jaiswal are currently undergoing training at the Chhattisgarh Administration Academy, Nimora. All three officers have been allotted the Chhattisgarh cadre. They met the Chief Minister to seek his guidance before departing for their district training.

 

Mr. Subrat Sahu (Director General, Chhattisgarh Administration Academy and Additional Chief Secretary), Mr. T.C. Mahawar (Director), and Mr. Pranav Singh (Joint Director) were present on this occasion.
