The latest research by Curia Union taxpayers indicates that the Labor Party has been at its lowest level of popularity since the beginning of this year, after a 4.3 % drop in support.

The work and the Pāti Maori have lost support, suggests the latest research on the taxpayers of Curia Union-Curia.
Both main parties fell into the survey compared to the March numbers, but only nationals marginally.
Coalition parties would also have enough seats to form a government under these numbers, a change of what the two previous research showed.
The percentage drop of 4.3 working points is a statistically significant change, which has the party below 30 %, its lowest support level since the beginning of the year.
What the most recent research of the taxpayers of Union-Curia shows:
- National: 33.5 %, drop of 0.1 percentage points (42 seats)
- Work: 29.8 %, drop of 4.3 (37 seats)
- Greens: 11 %, an increase of 1.0 (14 seats)
- Act: 10 %, an increase of 2.3 (13 seats)
- NZ First: 7.4 %, an increase of 2.3 (9 seats)
- Te pāti maori: 4.3 %, drop of 2.2 (6 seats)
For smaller parties, the top was 1.5 % (+1.0 points), abroad and freedom party at 1.0 % (+0.4 points) and new conservatives at 0.4 % (+0.4 points).
In the favorite ranking of the first -minister, Chris Hipkins – who in March exceeded Christopher Luxon for the first time since the election]- plunged below his competitor, falling 1.8 points to 18.9 %.
Luxon earned 1.6 points to recover the position of the pole.
However, net hipkins favorabilization by 2 % (-2 points) was still higher than -6 % of luxon (+4 points)
Prime Minister favorite:
- Christopher Luxon: 21.9 %, an increase of 1.6 points
- Chris Hipkins: 18.9 %, fall of 1.8 points
- Winston Peters: 12.8 %, an increase of 4.2
- David Seymour: 8 %, an increase of 3 points
- Chlöe Swarbrick: 4.2 %, drop of 0.6 points
The research was conducted by Curia Market Research Ltd to the Taxpayer Union. It is a random research of 1000 adult neoZelandes and is thoughtful for the adult population in general. He was driven by telephone (fixed and cellular phones) and online between Saturday, March 29 and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, has a maximum margin of +/- 3.1%, and 5.4% people researched said they were undecided on the party’s vote issue.
Curia is a long -term researcher and established in New Zealand. Recently, he renounced the Body of Industry of the New Zealand Research Association (Ranz).
