A group of women narrowly escaped their lives after the car stopped in the middle of a level of Hamilton moments before a train passed.
Images posted on Tiktok showed the four women quickly abandoning the car that broke at the Gray St level intersection on Saturday afternoon.

Police praised women “for doing the right thing coming out of the vehicle and going to a safe area when they could.”
In a statement, a Kiwirail -valid door said the train driver tried to brake, but couldn’t stop before crashing into the car.
“Kiwirail reminds the public that the rail corridor is a relentless environment, and although in this case no one has been injured, the consequences of a collision may be catastrophic,” the spokesman said.
