The former Australian batting prodigy Will Pucovski officially withdrew from Cricket, admitting that he is still suffering “terrifying” symptoms caused by repeated brain shocks.
The Victorian played for the last time at Sheffield Shield in March 2024, when he was beaten in the helmet for a delivery of Tasmania Riley Meredith’s sprinter.
It was the 13th known brabral shock of his sports career.
Pucovski’s official announcement came after a medical panel recommended that he retired, but decided to stop calling him.
The 27 -year -old said his life had changed since he had dealt with the symptoms of brain shock.

Pucovski’s ongoing problems include regular headaches, fatigue, dizziness, dizziness and fighting “things on my left side.”
“I’m not going to play the Crick again,” Pucovski told Sen.
“In the two months after that [last concussion] I fought to do something. Walking around the house was a fight.
“My fiancee was upset because it didn’t contribute to homework. I was sleeping a lot.
“From there, it has been a difficult year. Many of the symptoms did not disappear, which has led me to this decision. The first months were horrific, but things did not leave me.
“Unfortunately, it has reached a stage now in which a year or so on the track [I am] Still suffering, I still don’t have the answers I have been looking for in terms of why I am still obtaining these symptoms, and the time has come to make this decision.
“When the symptoms are ongoing, it is quite scary.”
Pucovski played his only test in January 2021, against India in the SCG, scoring 62 in the first tickets.
It ends with an average first class of 45.19 that includes seven centuries and a higher score of 255 was not.

Such was his talent, Pucovski was considered by many experts capable of playing long -term for Australia.
Only two months before his debut in the test, he became the first player of this century to score two consecutive double centuries on the SHEFIELD shield.
Pucovski, who will marry his long -term partner, Emma this weekend, has had time to accept the decision.
He had multiple long spells of the game before, but the last brain shock he suffered more than a year ago meant that his retirement became a mere formality.
“Technology is not there to understand what is what,” said Pucovski.
“When you have symptoms for more than a year, and I have had other for numerous years, it can be quite difficult to see how I can play professional sports again when I am struggling to live my life as I want.
“The difficult thing to accept, to some extent, is that I know how it was before suffering these brain shocks, and I know how I am now.
“My family has also noticed a difference in me, and my friends, and that part is quite terrifying, and it also is very afraid of them.”
Pucovski, who has impressed as a commentator with the Seven Network, will train with Melbourne Cricket Club.
He said that if he had children, he would be involved if they chose to play the Cricket.
