Who is Jagmeet Singh? For the NDP leader this election is do or die

Jagmeet Singh, 46, lived as a child in Scarborough, in the suburbs of Toronto, Grand Falls-Windsor and St. John’s in Newfoundland, and Windsor, Ontario. He studied undergraduate biology at Western University, then studied law at Osgoode Hall, and then worked as a criminal defense attorney in Toronto before entering politics. He ran for the New Democratic Party in Ontario, nearly lost the 2011 election, and then won the provincial ride of Brahmalia Gore Malton just five months later. He won leadership from the Federal New Democratic Party in 2017 and has been riding in British Columbia since 2019.
