Where’s Rustin? Windsor police seek stolen pup, armed robbery suspects

Windsor police are searching for two suspects and a stolen puppy after an armed robbery on the west side of the city on Sunday morning.

Police said a teenager named Rustin, a four-month-old French bulldog named Rustin, in the University Avenue and South Street area around 3 a.m. Sunday.

The three squirted her with their bear before catching the dog, and then ran away from the scene on foot.

Later Sunday, officers arrested a 15-year-old woman in the 3400 block of Wells Street. Young people who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act are charged with weapons robbery and assault.

Police have identified a second suspect and issued an arrest warrant.

The third suspect was described as a white male with a mustache and might be called “Ethan”. Police said he was wearing a red and green sweater and jeans at the time of the incident.

Authorities have not found the dog.
