At least 91 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in air attacks through Gaza on Thursday after Israel resumed bombings and land operations, said the Ministry of Health of the Enclave, effectively abandoning a high fire of two months.
After two months of relative calm, the Palestinians in Gaza fled again for their lives after Israel effectively abandoned a high fire, launching a new air and land campaign against the militant group Hamas.
The first day of Tuesday’s air attacks killed more than 400 Palestinians, one of the most fatal days of the 17 -month conflict, with little retirement since then.
Israeli aircraft threw brochures in residential neighborhoods, ordering the people of Beit Lahiya and the cities of Beit Hanoun in the north, the district of Shejaia in the city of Gaza and the cities on the oriental outskirts of Khan Younis in the south.
Late Thursday, Israel’s Army said that land operations had begun in the Shaboura district of the southernmost city of Gaza, Rafah, which contains the Egyptian border.
“The war has returned, displacement and death have returned, will we survive this round?” Sami said, 29, who fled Shejaia to put a tent for his family in an open plant camp.
A day after sending tanks to the center of Gaza, the Israeli army said Thursday that he had also begun to perform land operations in the north of the densely populated enclave, along the coastal route in Beit Lahiya.
Hamas, who had not retaliated during the first 48 hours of the renewed Israeli assault, said his combatants fired rockets to Israel.

The Israeli army said the sirens sounded in the center of the country after projectiles were launched from Gaza.
Since the conversations failed to close the differences on the terms to extend the high fire, the Army resumed its aerial assaults to Gaza with a mass bombing campaign on Tuesday before sending soldiers the next day.
He said Thursday that his forces had participated during the last 24 hours in what he described as an operation to expand a cushioning zone that separates the north and south halves of Gaza, known as the Netzarim corridor.
Hamas said that the Israeli terrestrial operation and the incursion into the Netzarim corridor were a “new and dangerous violation” of the high fire agreement.
In a statement, he reaffirmed his commitment to the agreement and asked the mediators to “assume their responsibilities.”
The first phase of Alto El Fuego ended in early March.
Hamas wants to follow the original agreement and move on to a second agreed phase, by virtue of which Israel would be required to negotiate the end of the war and the withdrawal of their Gaza troops, and the Israeli hostages still had there that they would change for the Palestinian prisoners.
Israel has offered only a temporary extension of the truce, cut all supplies to Gaza and said he restarted his military campaign to force Hamas to release remaining hostages.
