The Greens of Western Australia boast that they are likely to have the balance of power in the upper house of the WA State Parliament. The last vote on March 25 confirmed this.
The relative success of the Greens in WA seems to be the result of the lazy vote of the “above the line” for the upper house that guaranteed them the preferences in the bulk of the work. The WA Nationals won only two seats in the upper house and a nation, one of the 37 seats. It is likely that Australian Christians get a seat.
Therefore, the work with 16 seats, the green 4 and legalize cannabis 1, will give the leftist holidays a clear majority with 21 of the 37 seats.
This will simply lead the WA Labor Party to the left and reinforce the status quo of another state government that wobbles towards madness against carbon and aroused social policy as the transgender.
WA is already planning to close its two electric coal power plants in the 2030 magical year and spend an estimate of $ 3.8 billion in its interconnected system (SWI) of the southwest with generation and solar/wind storage, which the Government says that “will guarantee the stability and continuous affordability of the offer.”
As the southern Australia model, wind and solar energy has demonstrated, they are inherently unstable and expensive, but the new upper house controlled by the Greens will overcome its “renewables” and drums of “sustainability” to drown any objection.
Before this month’s WA state elections, the greens only had a parliamentarian sitting, Dr. Brad Petitt MLC, who has been re -elected together with former ABC journalist Sophie McNeill and former MLC Metpolitan of East Tim Clifford.
“While the Upper House count is still underway, it is very likely that the Greens will collect a fourth seat and the elegant forest activist Jess Beckerling, who was instrumental in leading the campaign to end the registration of native forests in Western Australia,” said a statement from the media of the green.
Then, in the twisted and anti -industrial mentality of the greens, the grinding of wood is evil along with the generation of coal electricity. They, like their billionaire mentor Bill Gates, are also agriculture against cattle. But will they oppose vast new areas of mining for rare land minerals for their beloved batteries? Unlikely.
Of course not, because WA work has starry plans to attract “new manufacturing industries”, such as “manufacturing of windy batteries and turbines, hydrogen, green cement and mineral processing.”
Then Wa would make us believe that they can do what China is already doing. But China, with its more than 1100 coal power plants, has a mass manufacturing capacity based on cheap energy. Wa will soon have none.
Unfortunately, the State may have to learn in the difficult way not to promote economic development or even a modern and functional economy with a fragile renewable energy supply.
But WA’s greens, like their comrades in southern Australia and Victoria, are very happy to bring their status to economic dysfunction, claiming that they saw significant changes towards them throughout the state.
“While the count is still underway and the result still has doubts, the strong changes to the green and the independents of the community show that the Western Australians want the government to take stronger measures on the climate,” they say.
“The greens with probable four parliamentarians in the upper house seem to be ready to maintain the balance of power and are ready to work from the first day to push the Labor Government re -elected to eliminate unfair evictions, prohibit fracking in the Kimberley, finish mining in the native forests of Jarrah and legislate a strong action on climate change.”
If the people of WA are really so stupid, we can only say good luck, because they will need it.
“Meanwhile, WA emissions continue to increase and our beautiful natural environment is under threat because this Labor Government could not take science seriously and act on climate and biodiversity,” said Dr. Pettitt.
“While the count continues and we still do not know the final result, a clear elimination of these elections is that hundreds of thousands of Western Australians have voted for a progressive change.
