We devote to promoting rugby excellence, promoting community involvement and offering an inclusive and competitive rugby environment throughout the Wairapa Bush region.
The paper:
We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to assume the role of CEO (CEO). CEO will lead the operational and strategic direction of the Wairarapy Bush Rugby Union, working with the Council, employees, sponsors, clubs and the general community to strengthen union performance, increase participation and ensure financial sustainability.
Responsibilities -Chave:
- Strategic leadership: Run the board strategies and long-term plans to achieve winning performances and develop successful rugby teams at all levels of the game. Implement initiatives to promote and market rugby and boost rugby expansion. Ensure the continuous commitment of clubs, players, administrators and volunteers, delivering the strategies and plans established by the Council and developing talents within the Union, ensuring a sustainable pipeline of qualified players and administrators
- Financial performance: The CEO maintains a strong focus on financial sustainability, making informed decisions to optimize revenue generation, cost control and resource allocation. Diligently monitoring financial indicators and implementing solid financial strategies, CEO safeguard the financial health and success of the long -term union.
- Intemposition engagement: Promote a strong relationship with clubs, sponsors, community partners and Rugby from New Zealand and other CEOs of the Rugby Union, representing the union’s interests at regional and national levels. Encourage other WBRU employees to develop networks and contacts in other unions, clubs and business in general.
- Commercial management: It drives the growth of revenue through sponsorship, partnerships and community involvement, ensuring the union’s financial health. Leading the acquisition of new partnerships and sponsorship campaigns to support all levels of rugby, but with an emphasis on professional and representative levels.
- Operational Supervision: Manage daily operations, including Rugby Administration, Budget and Development Programs. Maximize opportunities for the team to actively develop the skills required by WBRU and increase their contribution and value. Perform effective performance evaluations and compensation for direct reports. Ensure that the appropriate HR systems and processes are in force and that all employer obligations with the team are met. Defend you Tiriti Waitangi demonstrating knowledge and application of Tiriti Waitangi. Continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment in Rugby and considering how Rugby can actively promote and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and responsibilities.
- Rugby development: Collaborate with training, players and development teams to ensure that players’ paths, community involvement and rugby development initiatives are robust and effective.
Attributes -Chave:
- Proven leadership experience in a non -profit or commercial sports environment.
- Strong commercial insight with a history of budget management and financial sustainability boost.
- Passionate about rugby and community involvement, with the ability to inspire others and promote a positive culture.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship construction, with the ability to work in collaboration with several stakeholders.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution of growth initiatives.
- Understanding the New Zealand Rugby structure and the unique challenges of Provincial Rugby.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in senior leadership or CEO function.
- A training in sports administration, rugby or a related field would be advantageous.
- Experience in working or reporting to a board of directors.
- A demonstrated capacity to lead and manage a diverse team.
