US President Donald Trump, a few days after colliding with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the White House, interrupted all military assistance to Ukraine.
After confirming the decision on Tuesday morning, an official from the White House said that Mr. Trump focused on reaching a peace agreement to end the war, and that Mr. Zelensky has the goal ‘committed’.
The US has “pause and reviewed” its help, the official added to “ensure it contributes to a solution”.

Why did Trump interrupt all military assistance to Ukraine?
Donald Trump suddenly stopped over all US military aid that was hit by Ukraine after his clash with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky last week.
“President Trump was clear that he was focused on peace. We also need our partners to be committed to it. We stop ourselves and review our help to ensure that it contributes to a solution,” an official of the White House said Monday on the condition of anonymity.
The White House has no immediate comments on the scope and the amount of help affected or how long the break would last. The Pentagon could not provide further details.
Shortly before he cut the military aid, Mr. However, Trump said on his truth group against Ukraine’s wartime president, saying that Mr. Zelensky should be more valuable for US support.
Mr. Zelensky also said the end of the war is ‘very, very far away’.
“That’s the worst statement that Zelensky could have made, and America won’t manage it much longer!” Mr. Trump wrote about Truth Social.

Europe must ensure that Mr. Zelensky peace can negotiate from a strong position
When Donald Trump won the election last year, Sage Heads nodded and said, “Well, he is right for Europe to shoulder more of the burden of his own defense.” Now we know what it means – and the burden can be harder to bear than we thought.
Mr. Trump is working on an anger, and the world must say that. He sells the values of the American Republic. It was established on the right of people to determine their own future, and the US tried to stand in international matters according to the principle. This has not always done it well, but the US president has never explicitly despised the principle and told a brave people who are fighting for the survival of it being better if it gives up. “Leader of the Free World” no longer.

Of the total figure of 620,000, approximately 200,000 are actively fighting on the front lines, he said.
There are about 35,000 additional Rosgvardia troops that protect the rear areas of the battlefield and can switch to becoming a second line of defense if needed, he said in an interview with RBK-Kukraine.

“Give peace a chance?” Perhaps Peter Mandelson could rather try silence
When one of Peter Mandelson’s predecessors as the British ambassador to the United States asked what his mission entailed, he was told that it was simple to ‘get up and stay there the asset of the White House’.
The diplomat who commissioned this was Sir Christopher Meyer in 1997. The man who devised such concise advice was Jonathan Powell, then staff chief of Tony Blair and now reborn as a Consiglieri and national security adviser of Keir Starmer.
One wonders if Jonathan offered similar advice to Lord Mandelson about his Washington post. If so, then Mandelson took it a little too far.
