“I said goodbye to life,” says the surviving drone attack

A Russian drone strike on the second largest city of Ukraine killed two people and wounded 35 late Saturday, officials said, while President VoloMymyr Zelenskiy asked Kyiv’s partners to respond to such attacks while sought peace in the three-year war.

The strike in the eastern city of Kharkiv, which damaged a military hospital among other structures, came because Ukraine had a strong support from Western allies to push Russia to end its full scale in the smaller neighbor.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov said five children were wounded in the attack, which also damaged a few dozen residential buildings and a dorm for homes.

One survivor, who identified himself as Anton, described to an adjoining room in his apartment when a drone hit him with shrapnel.

“I’ve said goodbye to life,” said the 22-year-old, whose head and left hand were many bandages.

Vladimir Putin’s troops launched more than 150 deadly sliding bombs at Ukraine in a major air strike for the last day, Kyiv’s army said.

At least 153 KAB missiles – winged explosives weighing up to 1,500 kilograms and called the ‘Building Destroyer’ – were dropped on Ukrainian towns and cities on Saturday, according to the general staff of Ukraine.

They were part of a major air strike on nearly 100 air strikes and a rocket attack in regions such as Sumy, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, added this.
