UBC scientists invent stir stick that detects drugged drinks

Spikeless was designed by Dr. Johan Foster, associate professor of chemical and biological engineering at UBC, who worked on a device that can test beverages for about 15 years. Over the past three years, Foster and his colleagues at UBC have developed a prototype with a focus on making it accurate, simple and scalable, so it can be widely adopted.
