Two people were evacuated from the building when staff responded to two fires near Toronto’s Little Italy.
Toronto police and fire officials were called to the University Street and Manning Avenue areas before 10:30 a.m. Thursday to report a building fire.
Healthcare workers told CityNews the two were assessing, although the severity of their injuries was not yet known.
Toronto Transport says University Street is closed between Manning Avenue and Clinton Street.
