Two men were arrested after they were supposedly trapped with firearms loaded within the MCG during an AFL success of great success between Collingwood and Carlton.
The weapons were found hidden in the male pants, while a crowd of 82,058 fans saw the Magpies defeat their arch -rival on Thursday night.
“Security called the police in the MCG to help with two men who refused to leave the place due to their behavior,” said Victoria Police.
“As a consequence, the police arrested two men and during a search it alleges that two firearms were located in each of these men.
“A 21 -year -old Roxburgh Park man and a 37 -year -old Broadmeadows man are in custody who are being interviewed.”
No one was injured during the incident, said the police.
It is not clear how men managed to bring weapons beyond the security of MCG, which was updated last year.
