Two people have been killed and four people have been transferred to the hospital after an accident of several cars on the north coast of NSW.
The emergency services were called to the reports of an accident in the lane to the north of the M1 highway near Nabiac, about 30 kilometers south of Taree just before 10 am today.
Police arrived at the scene to discover that a SUV Nissan and Toyota Landcruiser towed a caravan had collided, sending Nissan to a nearby truck.
Two people at the Nissan died on the scene.
They have not yet been formally identified.
A 42 -year -old man, a 43 -year -old woman and two children, eight and nine, were treated by paramedics on the scene.
Then, the four were taken to the John Hunter hospital to receive additional treatment.
The truck driver was not injured and was taken to the Manning Base Hospital for mandatory tests.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
A black Chihuahua who was in the Nissan was not injured and believed that he was still in the area.
Police have asked for help to locate the dog, who say he responds to Armani’s name.
