A forest fire in more than 100 acres of land in Douglas County north of Woodland Park, near Sedalia, was contained 45% on Sunday, according to officials of the US forest service. UU.
The fire caused around 4:29 pm on Saturday near the Turkey track shooting field in the Pike-San Isabel National Forest, said Sheriff’s office spokesman for Douglas County Sheriff, Luke Roberts, in an informative session on Sunday morning.

The biggest concern was to make sure the fire did not cross Colorado 67, Roberts said.
The east side of the road is home in multiple camps and popular hiking areas, including rainbow falls. Pre -evacuation orders were issued for the area around 6:25 pm on Saturday.
“It seems that this fire season is becoming longer and longer,” Roberts said.
