Prosecutor General Pam Bondi said that on Sunday, Trump is expecting to “probably” leave the presidency after his second term – even when she left the door slightly open to him, serving for four more years in what she described as a “heavy elevator” to amend the US constitution.

“President Trump has served a full term. He is in his second full term. He is a very smart man and – we, I would like to have him in 20 years as our president, but I think he will probably be completed after that term,” Bondi said in an interview with Fox News Sunday. “

“Probably?” asked the host Shannon Breme.

Prosecutor General Pam Bondi spoke at a press conference at the Ministry of Justice, February 12, 2025 in Washington.

“Well, the Constitution – we have to look at the Constitution,” Bondi replied. “That would be a heavy lift.”

“And do you get two -thirds of the Senate and the House to go with you – but the concession that this is really the only way to do it?” said Brame.

“It would be a heavy elevator,” Bondi replied.
