When President Donald Trump spoke with officials of the Ministry of Justice on Friday afternoon, he addressed many of the lawyers who were charged to defend their court policies in more than 120 court cases.
For some of these lawyers, this was a challenging week as the judges in several cases seemed skeptical of the government’s arguments.
While defending policies such as government massive abbreviations or the ban on members of the Pentagon Transgder, a number of DOJ lawyers found themselves at a loss of words when they were trying to answer the questions asked by them.
“So people with gender dysphoria cannot be honest, humble or have integrity. Do you think this is humiliating for people with sexual dysphoria?” US District Judge Anna Reyes requested a DOJ lawyer on Wednesday during a hearing ban on a member of the Office.
“I can’t answer this question,” he replied.
Later, Reyes rebuked each of the DOJ’s lawyers, after they admitted that none of them had read any of the research used to support the ban in the sworn court documents.
During a controversial hearing in Maryland on Wednesday about Trump’s mass shootings – which ultimately made the judge monitor the case to order approximately 20,000 civil servants to be restored – DOJ’s lawyer could not answer when a judge pressed him to confirm how many employees were terminated.

“More than 50 or less than 50? … more than 100 or less than 100? … less than 1000?” asked Judge James Braddar, to which the lawyer replied that he could not evaluate at that time.
“Don’t you know? … Does anyone in the government know?” The judge continued to insist, just so that the government’s lawyer could say again that he did not know.
For a hearing on an emergency order to block an enforcement order against the law firm Perkins, the Ministry of Justice decided to send Chad Miesel, the chief headquarters of the prosecutor Pam Bondi, to argue on behalf of the government. “When you say that if the president, according to him, takes the position that an individual or organization or company manages a way that is not in the interest of the nation, he can issue an enforcement order like this and take steps to ban this person, that organization, to do any business with the government, to terminate any contracts, to overcome the federation. Howel said.
“I want to say that this is a pretty extraordinary power for the president’s exercises,” the judge said.
“If he finds out that there is a risk of national security with a particular law firm, then yes,” Miesel replied.
During Friday’s address, Trump’s Ministry of Justice claimed, without presenting evidence that media organizations and the Democratic Party were confronted to challenge his administration – and he called on the lawyers to fight.
“They are terrible people. They are scum,” Trump told those who oppose him in court. “We’ll have these cases where you can’t afford to be diverted. You just can’t let it happen. You have a higher call.”
Trump’s visit to the DOJ headquarters, during which he exposed his vision to the department and repeatedly assumed that his appointed had to close his political enemies, had been leaving for decades of norms after the water -sucker, where the DOJ leadership seeks to maintain the emergence of independence from the White House in Penal Case.
