Donald Trump asked for a portrait to be removed from him as it is ‘truly the worst’.
The US president has demanded that the portrait of British artist Sarah Boardman, who is currently hanging in the state capital of Colorado, is deliberately distorted.
He said on his social media platform Truth Social: “Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, in the state of Capitol, compiled by the Governor, along with all other presidents, was deliberately distorted to a level I may have never seen before.”
He said that a portrait by the same artist of former US President Barack Obama was ‘wonderful’, but ‘the one on me is truly the worst’.
With reference to the artist, whose collection of official portraits also includes one of former President George W. Bush, Mr. Trump said: “She should have lost her talent when she got older”.
He then added: “In any case, I would prefer not to have a photo than to have this one.”
The portrait of Mr. Trump by Boardman has been hanging in the state of Capitol since 2019. It is unclear what the Mr. Trump’s complaint caused Sunday night.

Why does Trump want to take over Greenland?
The president, who started his second time in the White House when he was sworn in on January 20, called on the ‘radical left -wing governor, Jared Police’ to take it off.
The 78-year-old man said he was talking on behalf of “many people from Colorado” who were “angry” about the picture and wanted it to be removed.
The president ended his post and said, “Jared must be ashamed!”
When the portrait was unveiled in 2019, Boardman posted photos online and said it was an ‘wonderful day’.
She wrote: “Stay respectful – it’s about portraits, not politics.”
The artist’s website reads: “Sarah believes that the ultimate challenge is to capture the ‘personality, character and soul’ of an individual in a two -dimensional format.
“She uses a combination of realism and picturesque aspects designed to pull the viewer into piece.”
