The Federal Conservative Party pulled a candidate from the vote after reporting that he supported public hanging comments and suggested former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau should be sentenced to death.
A party spokesman told 680 Newsradio, Mark McKenzie, Councilman of Windsor, Ontario.not a conservative candidate in the election.
“These comments are obviously unacceptable. Mr. McKenzie will not be a conservative candidate,” the party said.
McKenzie, who represented Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore, commented two years ago when she discussed the Freedom Team protests on a comedy podcast.
In the February 18, 2022 episode, Mackenzie said he favors public slings and hopes to bring back the electric chair. He then joined Trudeau with infamous serial killers like Paul Bernardo, Charles Manson and Jeffrey Dahmer.
“I think they should bring back the electric chairs, too, but only when you’re about a million percent positive,” Mackenzie said.
