NASA astronauts, who have remained in space for months longer than planned, finally head back to the ground.
Barry Butch Wilmore and Sunita Suni Williams performed the first flight of astronaut at the Boeing’s Starliner capsule to the International Space Station (ISS) in June 2024.
What was supposed to be a mission that lasted about a week has become a nine -month stay aboard the ISS due to several Starliner problems.
Space ship problems prompted NASA and Boeing to send Starliner back to Earth, abducted and keep Wilmore and Williams aboard the ISS until early 2025 when they returned home to Spacex Crew-9 Dragon after CREW-10 arrived
The Spacex Crew-9 is finally ready to withdraw in the early hours of Tuesday, March 18, and Deorbit in the afternoon, returning to the ground in the evening.

The first attempt to launch Starliner was cleaned after a problem was found on the rocket with an oxygen valve that launches the spacecraft in orbit.

Officials say that a new pressure regulation valve has been replaced and tested successfully and that the new Starliner launch date will be not earlier than May 21st.

NASA announces a new date of launch of Target Starliner on June 1st. The service module set a date of launch, which contains maintenance systems and spacecraft operating tools.

Officials clean the Starliner start just minutes before lifting due to the start -up sequence of computer land, which is not charged properly. Archive date on June 2 has also been canceled.

After a few delays, Starliner started, rising at 10:52 pm from Cape Canaveral’s Space Forces Station in Florida Wilmore and Williams, they are scheduled to return to Earth aboard Starliner on June 14th.

Starliner has successfully tossed in ISS after Helium’s leaks and the Thruster problem has threatened to slow down.
June 11, 2024
NASA says Starliner has five “small” leaks of helium and that the ISS mission of astronauts will be extended until June 18, in anticipation of Starliner’s time and readiness to bring them home.
June 14, 2024
NASA and Boeing announce that they are directed by June 22 for the return of Starliner’s crew to Earth.
June 18, 2024
NASA delayed the return of astronauts until June 26, while the team eliminates some of Starliner’s problems, including helium leaks and pipe failures.
June 21, 2024
The date of return of the astronauts is canceled again due to conflicts with the previously planned space paths. Mission staff continue to view Starliner data.

NASA and Boeing employees say that during a press conference that additional tests are being carried out on the drive of the spacecraft before Starliner can be unfolded.

Wilmore and Williams say they feel “confident” Starliner, can return them safely home.
