Three people died after a fire in a historic building in a village of Northamptonshire.
Police, fire departments and ambulance services were called around 22:30 on Friday to report reports of a big flame in a former station house in Beswick in Rushton, near Kettering.
It was later confirmed that three people were killed, Northamptonshire police said. No further details about the identity of the victims were given.
Three police officers required the hospital assessment due to smoke inhalation, the power added.
The cause of the fire is now being investigated by police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Photos show a big hole burned down by the roof of the building-a 19th-century former station master’s home at the now closed Glendon and Rushton Railway Station.
According to the Historic England website, it is a building with a grade II list and is now believed to be a residential property.
Train services between London St Pancras International and Corby, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield were disrupted, along with the services between heresy and Nottingham to the fire, which was near a railroad.
According to the National Rail website, the disruption is due to damage to a railway line.
