The thieves have won thousands of dollars in luxury items in a Ramraid of a David Jones store in Melbourne.
The police say that the thieves attacked the back door of the David Jones store on Bourke Street and slide thousands of dollars in luxury bags before fleeing a white lexus.
It is the fourth high -end store that is directed in a month in the city.
Retail theft in Victoria has increased by almost 90 percent in the last year, costing companies an estimated $ 9 billion.
Retailers are pressing to obtain more police resources and strengthened laws.
“Unfortunately, for those CBD retailers who have been beaten, again and again, not only with retail crimes, but also only in pedestrian traffic,” said Fleur Brown of the Association of Australian retailers.
“There is no silver bullet, but we need to see all these areas addressed.
“We are in conversations with the Victorian government about doing more.”
