The Justice Selection Committee returned the Odious Tratty Principles of Law for Parliament.
In his report, he referred to the shipments and divided them into those who support the bill and those who oppose.
I always feared that the ACT party, the promise of Hobson and the collection of organizations with Atlas resources that inflicted our policy would expect the result and suggest that there was a wave in the country in support of the treaty decimation.
My fears were lost. Because the overwhelming number of shipping was opposed to the account.

The project received approximately 300,000 shipments and requests of 16,000 oral shipments. In the end, the committee listened 529 sends, more than 80 hours over five weeks.
Written shipments were 90 % opposite, 8 % support and 2 % not declared. Oral shipments were 85 % opposite, 10 % support and 5 % unhealthy.
The collapse of the lifting reasons raised in favor and against the bill shows an interesting contrast between those who really thought about it and those who divided the discussion points of the act.

The 45 -page report of the committee said the themes raised by the opponents were:
- Inconsistency of the bill with Treaty/Te Tiriti
- failures or inadequacies in the account development process
- The promotion of the law of formal equality on equity
- The negative effect of the account on social cohesion
- uncertainty of legal and constitutional implications
- The negative effect on the crown-marori relationship
- concerns that the project is contrary to international commitments and would negatively affect New Zealand’s reputation
- Opposition to the use of a referendum and support for a national conversation around Treaty/Te Tiriti
- unnecessary clarification of principles already defined
- Negative environmental impacts of the account
- Negative effect on the status of initiatives te reo and mātauranga maori
- rejection of the concept of treaty principles.
The themes among the supporters were:
- Lack of clarity and certainty about the principles
- the importance of equality for all
- Use of a referendum to facilitate a national conversation around Treaty/Te Tiriti
- promoting social cohesion.
David Seymour opted for Gaslight an entire nation, claiming in his response that the record number of submissions to the project does not reflect public opinion.
He also said the following:
We will never give up. No matter how many of our fellow politicians fail to support equal rights. The New Zealanders are ready to have this discussion, even if some of their leaders seem to be disappointed. ”
It seems that no matter how many times you say that confusing the violation of Tiriti Waitangi with support for human rights is clearly dishonest. Seymour will continue to say this with the confidence of the quality of Uber Trump.
The reporting debate must be a scam. Expect fireworks.
But for now, the good people of Aotearoa who believe in respect for the treaty should bend.
