Several cross winds led to major interruptions at Queenstown airport this afternoon.
A -void door confirmed that time had had problems.
” There were some ZQN interruptions this afternoon due to the climate and the strong winds.
“The airport and airline teams are doing their best to support the interrupted passengers and we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate people’s understanding and patience.”
The Queenstown airport website showed six flights between 2:20 pm and 5:30 pm were canceled while another had been postponed.
Methservice advised that strong southerners would make it easier tonight.
