Jamie Williams (above) appointed as coach of the Copthorne Wairarapa Bush Heartland team
It is with great pleasure to announce Jamie Williams as the main coach of the Copthorne Wairarapa Bush Heartland team in 2025.
Paddy Gough and James Goodger He will join Jamie as his coaches assistants for the campaign. Together, the training trio brings a wealth of knowledge, knowledge and a deep commitment to raise the performance and pride of Rugby Wairarapa Bush.
Jamie is a proud resident of Wairarapa in the last six years and has served as a technical assistant in 2022 under coach Mark Rutene. More recently, Jamie led the Wellington Centurions as a coach and has an impressive successful record, including four Jubilee Cup wins in the Wellington competition with Old Boys University.
Executive -Chief Tony Hargood said: “It’s great to have Jamie back on deck, this time as a coach. Jamie brings a richness of knowledge and has a pedigree proven to win Rugby. Having Paddy and James as her assistants are still not strengthened that James Mana.
Jamie expressed her enthusiasm for the role:
“I am incredibly honored and excited about the opportunity to lead the Copthorne Wairapa Bush team. This region has a proud inheritance of Rugby, and I look forward to contributing to this legacy. Together with Paddy and James, we will focus on creating a disciplined and well -prepared squad that prospered under pressure.
For me, success is more than just winning – it is about building a competitive team in all matches and representing Wairarapa with pride, discipline and heart. It is about creating a respectful squad – not only from our opponents, but also from our supporters and the general community.
