The Northern Riary, which should win the Masters to complete the Grand Slam career, helped Poppy sink a long bird on the last hole.

“Yes, very cool,” McIlroy said when asked about the moment. “It’s just a good afternoon. Being with Shane (Lowry) and Tommy (Fleetwood) and their families there, we are all very, very close to each other, so having the kids out there and having fun is the most important thing.

‘This is a very pleasant way to terminate the preparation in what is the serious part of the week. So it’s nice to get out of here and do it. ‘

Rory McIlroy is in a fine form in the fine form because he is target on Grand Slam

When Rory McIlroy won the Zurich Classic with Shane Lowry last year, he chose Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin ‘as his Karaoke song for the traditional party after victory.

It was, he said, because it was one of the few songs to know the words, but it is also easy to read meaning in the lyrics, as the bid of the Northern Iier to end his great drought, on and on and on.

“I come back every year with the aim of winning this tournament, and after the start I had this year, I don’t feel like I was in a better shape this week,” McIlroy admitted.

Angel Cabrera’s crimes in the past against women forgotten at the master’s degree

It is one of the great traditions of the masters and will bring emotional scenes on August National this week. Former champions and winners of the Green Jacket receive a lifelong release for future tournaments, free to show up year after year and walk the iconic track until they call it. Bernhard Langer, now 67, is playing the Masters for the 41st and last time this week. With no expectations to protest, it is the feeling to step in the ropes along the impeccable father -in -law he will miss most. “I expect it to be very difficult emotionally,” he said.

However, this is the return of another former champion who asked more difficult questions about the lifelong release rule before the Masters of this year, as Angel Cabrera, winner of the Green Jacket in 2009, makes his first appearance on Augusta National in six years and since his release from prison.

Cabrera spent a total of 30 months behind bars in Brazil and Argentina after being convicted of domestic abuse charges. He was sentenced to two years in prison in July 2021 for the assault, threat and harassment of a former partner, before being convicted of a second assault against another ex -girlfriend. He was released on parole in August 2023.
