A fire caused significant damage to a Northland house at night.
Fire and Emergency said it was called to Topuni in Kaipara district shortly before half -night.
The teams found the house involved in flames and needed to call more firefighters.
They were able to extinguish the fire in the early hours of Tuesday in the morning.
A fire investigator was expected on the spot soon.
