By beating Lakeshore Canadiens back-to-back, the 73s led 3-2 in the 1970s in the Bill Stobbs division final.

The 73s have been able to win the title for the first time since 2017 and won the Lakeshore victory at the Atlas Tube Center on Tuesday.

“Rise 3-2, but we want to play like Game 7,” Piroski said, who will host Game 7 on Thursday. “We will do everything we can to shut it down, but it will be a battle.”

The ’73-year game trailed the series before a 2-0 victory on Friday, before becoming the first team to win 2-1 in home games Sunday to win a 2-1 victory in Game 5 before winning a 1,101-man game in the Essex Center Sports Complex.

“That’s not very beautiful, but we did it,” Pirosky said.

For the two best offenses in PJHL, it has become a grinding series. Patrick McManus and Marcus Levesque rose 2-0 on Sunday at 73. Owen Bentley brought the Canadians with the goal, but the club couldn’t produce an equalizer.

On Friday, 73 captain Gabe Piccolo scored a goal and Brogan Colquhoun saved 27 times for the series’ closed-door venue.

“You played six or seven series, and it was a tough series,” Piroski said. “It’s physically, both teams are working hard.

Quickly complete the second

Windsor Express split two road games to end the regular season of the Basketball Super League.

The sweep against Newfoundland’s rogue could have given the top seed in the playoffs. However, the club fell 115-109 on Friday and had to make a 105-100 victory on Saturday for a second seed and first round goodbye.

Vincent Boumann scored 30 points and 14 rebounds (19-9). Lydell Elmore had 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Latin Davis had 17 points and 12 rebounds against the gangsters. Jaire Grayer added 14 points to Rogues (9-17).

Windsor will host five best series at the WFCU Center on Thursday. Opponents can still be determined by a match against the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans (18-10) of the third seed, hosting the sixth seed Pontiac Pharaohs (8-14) on Wednesday, while the Jamestown Jack Wolf (18-10) of the fourth seed held the defending champion and the London Champion for the fifth seed (14-14) on Tuesday.

Flyer wins sweep

Leamington Flyers are about to enter the conference finals.

The best seed pass clicked defeated the fourth seed’s Buffalo sabre. With that, the Flyers 4-0 for the seven best series and will threaten with Milton in the Western Conference finals of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Cade Bell scored an out of reach, won the championship with a 1-1 tie and had more than five minutes left in the rules to fill the flyers with good. Michael Denney added two goals, and Marquise Brown scored.

WYCSIK Top Player

Sun County Panthers captain Jaakko Wycisk is one of seven players to win the Ontario Hockey League AAA Player of the Year Award.

Wycisk won 32 goals and 61 points in 30 games, winning awards in the league. He also added two goals and eight points in five games to help Suns County reach the semi-finals in the OHL Cup.

Wycisk is the first region to win the award since Windsor Spitfire captain Matthew Maggio served in Sun County in 2018. Windsor Jr.
