Peter Dutton has promised to reduce energy invoices through a national gas plan, cut migration and cut thousands of federal public servants as part of their electoral discourse for voters.
In his fourth speech to the budget, the opposition leader has pledged to accelerate new gas projects, increase the cancellation of instant assets of small businesses to $ 30,000 and reduce migration by 25 percent if chosen.
“It is a moment of sliding doors for our nation,” Dutton said during his speech, adding: “This choice is both leadership and politics.”

Present a national gas plan to reduce invoices
A Dutton government would immediately present a national gas plan to prioritize the National Gas Supply and reduce energy invoices.
The plan includes tracking new gas projects, reducing approval times and the launch of a gas reserve plan, under which a certain amount of gas produced for the domestic market would be reserved.
Dutton said that “it would ensure an additional 10 percent to 20 percent of the demand of the east coast” and “would reduce the new wholesale prices of gasoline from more than $ 14 per gigajoule to less than 10 per gigajoule.”
The policy could be lost for the industry, changing the gas for export at a higher price.
Western Australia has had a similar policy since 2006.
Cheaper fuel
With a clear approach in the hip pocket, the coalition also revealed that it will reduce the fuel tax from approximately 50 cents to 25 cents per liter on its first day of session.
Dutton said that the Competition and Consumer Commission of Australia “would ensure that the special fuel tax cut is transmitted in its entirety to consumers.”
Cut migration
Dutton has confirmed that the coalition will reduce the permanent migration program by 25 percent if it is chosen on May 3.
According to the plan, the levels currently established in 185,000 will be reduced by an estimated 46,000 places.
“The work does not have control of migration, nor has it maintained migration to sustainable levels,” said Dutton.
He added that the Plan will release homes and “restore the great Australian dream of housing owned.”
