A family of Canterbury shock the early warning after a car landed in his bed.
The accident happened at the intersection of Silverstone Loop and Shillingford Blvd, in the city of Rolleston, at 3:45 am today.
The family was at home sleeping when the vehicle entered the house before landing in the main room.
The owners were left with cuts and bruises and were very shaken.
A police door said the driver had moderate injuries.
The driver suffered moderate injuries while the owners had cuts and bruises.
Rolleston and Lincoln Fire teams also responded to the accident.
A neighbor said there were debris at the door and front ceiling.
From the tire brands at the scene, it appeared that the car cut off the park, cleared the part of the road and then rolled around the fence and entered the house.
