A teacher at Kingsway School, a state -integrated Christian school in North Shore, in Auckland, was on license after a police investigation on aggression allegations.

Police said the investigation was in their early stages and they were talking to victims and witnesses involved.

Director Graeme Budler said the allegations related to “outdated disciplinary practices that do not align with the values of our school, vocational education standards or New Zealand law.”

He said the school took the allegations of misconduct very seriously and followed the proper process, including the notification quickly from the appropriate authorities.

Budler said the teacher involved was placed on paid license and the school offered counseling support to all affected.

Kingsway School had a junior campus in Silverdale and a senior campus in Red Beach on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula.
