Search teams are looking for a 16-year-old boy who went missing after falling into a lake in southeastern London.
Officers and paramedics were named after Beckenham Place Park in Lewisham shortly after 15:00 on Friday.
The Metropolitan police said the boy’s family and are supported by specialist officials.
In a statement, officers added that emergency services “coordinate” a search “and” the park was evacuated “.
Beckenham Place Park, which borders the London city of Bromley, covers about 240 hectares, according to the park’s website.
The lake is described as 285 meters long and reaches depths of up to 3.5 meters. It is designed as a swimming lake for open-water swimming and paddle step.
A spokesman for the London ambulance service said: ‘We were called at 15.02 hours this afternoon after reports of a person in the water.
‘We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance staff, an incidental response officer and members of our Response team for dangerous area.
“We are still on the scene and work with our emergency services partners.”
Emergency teams have not yet explained how the boy entered the water, or that he was accompanied by others.
