Hope White entered the preseason camp of the giants, a terrifying 18 -year -old girl, and now coach Julie Fitzgerald sees her become one of the next family names.
Super Netball’s youngest player has the tip to be an integral part of the center of the Giants field, which begins his 2025 campaign against the Queensland Firebirds at home on Sunday afternoon.
White adds his fast hands and fast feet to the side directed by Maddie there and Diamond Jamie-Lee Price.
“In the coming years you will see a lot of it,” said Fitzgerald.
“When he first entered the team, he was a bit terrified of me and hardly spoke. But now he is a real character.
“She brings a real personality to the team, and it is also a great talent for sport.”
The center of the middle of the 17 years appeared in the Australian Sub-21 team at the age of 17 after becoming the MVP of the Grand Final in the U-19 National Championship last year.
White plays in the 2025 reirection memorandum of the giants after the team ended on the stairs with three victories in 2024.
They begin their campaign against a Firebirds Under-The Spotllight after Netball Australia discovered that there was no substantial evidence of Remi Kamo’s statement that his former team fostered a “toxic” environment.
All eyes will be in the recruit of star shooting goals from Firebirds Mary Cholhok, which measures 201 centimeters high and is four times winner of the goals award in the Super League of England.
“(Against the Firebirds) obviously, Maria is a huge target. She has made a big difference on her side,” said Fitzgerald.
“They will be a very formidable opponent.
“(But) we have more depth in the entire court in the three areas of what we have had before.
“We know exactly where we fell short last year. Not everything will happen at the same time, but we know the direction we are going.”
