Spruce Grove Daycare is under investigation after allegedly attacked by four cared children.

On Thursday, Parkland RCMP said they received a complaint last week about an alleged attack that occurred at the Little Star Montessori Early Learning Center, located at Pioneer Rd 280. In the Spruce Grove.

“The management of daycare management found some allegations of abuse on February 19, 2025, and then they informed the parents,” said Parkland RCMP Const, Brody Dyson.

“We received a report on March 6, then two more reports on March 10, and the final report on March 12.”

Dyson confirmed that the so-called attack was not sexual, but physical.

The General Investigation Department of Parkland RCMP was asked to conduct an investigation and so far four victims have been identified, and investigators believe there may be more.

Due to safety issues, a trial license has been issued to daycare.

“The safety and well-being of children in this province is a top priority for our government. The Alberta government is aware of the alleged complaints against Spruce Grove’s Little Star Daycare, and we take these complaints very seriously. These allegations are deeply concerned.

Postmedia contacted Montessori ELC CEO Razia Qarni, who confirmed that the room in which the alleged attack had been closed for investigation, but day care remained open and operated.

RCMP Gina Slaney said investigators have identified people of interest and that the investigation is underway.
