Two people have been arrested in Spain in connection with the sale of exotic cats on the Internet.

The civilian guard of the country seized 19 animals, including a character and two services, in an operation in Manacor, on Mallorca.

More than 40 irregular animal passports from countries such as Russia, Belo -Rusland and China have also been found.

The operation allegedly started the operation in March last year after the civil guard was warned to a couple in Palma who allegedly raised servants, caracal and hybrids with domestic cats to sell it with social networks.

It is alleged that the suspects offered white tigers, cloudy leopards – for which they asked € 60,000 (£ 51,000) – Eurasian Lynxes, Hynenas, Black Leopards and Pumas.

The efforts to breed and own these types of pets are widespread in Russia and Ukraine, and the trend mimics in other countries, the authorities added.
