Southern parts were offline with reports of telephone interruptions and the internet for various providers this morning.
The Down Detector website indicated that a New Zealand, Spark, 2Degrees and Slingshot had peaks in Internet interruption reports right after 10am.
A New Zealand had more reports with 102 at 10:12.
People on social media said they were also experiencing interruptions further in Mosgiel, East Taieri and Balclutha.
