The centurion of southern Australia, Jake Lehmann, says it is useless to ignore or stop on his side in a domain position in the final of Sheffield Shield.
Trying to finish a drought for the 29 -year -old title, southern Australia will arrive on Friday to Karen Rolton Oval in control of the final, but not yet in a winning position.
Queensland resumes 3-177 in its second tickets, only one race ahead of SA.
Queensland was withdrawn by 95 in its first excavation before the stellar 102 of Lehmann directed SA to 271 in response.
“Rocking and acting in a final when there was a little pressure on … it’s simply incredible,” Lehmann said after his third shield in so many games.
Lehmann’s father, the legend of SA, Darren Lehmann, appeared in the last victory of the state in 1995/96.
Lehmann said there was no damage to recognize SA’s strong position, but he knows that there is still a job to do to achieve the very desired victory of the State.
“All we have done is recognize the position in which we have been and the ability to win games,” he said.
“You know, recognize that we are in a good position is fine, and then focus on every ball after that.
“So we have not talked about the award at the end of the game … We have also recognized that and we have moved and focused on each delivery.”
Lehmann predicted the second new ball, due to about 10 overs on Friday, it could be decisive.
“The first day there was probably a little more moisture in the middle of the wickt … it was quite difficult to find the rhythm [as a batsman]”, said.
“And obviously, he flattened slightly down, the ball is probably coming more consistently.
“So it will be … Find a way with the new ball tomorrow to have a couple of Wickts more and then go from there.”
