The new Sky News and Politico Podcast politics at Sam and Anne’s launches today, with Anne Mcelvoy replacing Jack Blanchard as the co-host of Sam Coates.
The political podcast is available from Monday to Thursday from 07:30 and will unpack Coates, the deputy political editor of Sky News, and Mcelvoy, the executive editor of politico, everything there is to know about the day ahead in Westminster.
Each installment of the award -winning podcast gives audiences the latest insight into British politics within a maximum of 20 minutes.
The Podcast was originally launched in September 2023 with Jack Blanchard – Politico’s former editor of the United Kingdom, and now author of Politico’s DC Playbook.

Mcelvoy’s arrival comes after a successful year for the podcast, as it was recently recognized during the first political Podcast awards and credited for the “must-know political insight”.
Coates, who won the host of the year at the 2025 Political Podcast Awards, said: “Having Anne on board is my new full-time co-host.
