Separation Season two has come to an end and if you are like us, you have just looked at the poignant final and had even more questions than answers.
Severance portrays Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry and John Turturro as a group of employees at the Mysterious Lumon Company, managed by the equally suspicious Eagan family. All four underwent a procedure called “Severance” in which their consciousness was completely divided between their work itself and at home in a daring experiment to find a balance between work and life.
To date, fans followed the journey of Mark Scott, an employee, or an ‘innie’ at the Mysterious Lumon Industries, where he leads the Macrodata Refinement Department. Meanwhile, Mark’s “Outie” tried to learn how to save his supposed dead wife, Gemma (Dichen Lachman) after discovering that she was still alive and subjected to numerous brutal tests at Lumon.
To complicate matters, Innie Mark fell in love with his colleague Helly, whose ‘Outie’ is coincidentally Helena Eagan, the daughter of the current CEO of Lumon, Jame Eagan. Her ancestor, Kier Eagan, has a cult -like succession within the company he founded in 1865.

The final open with Innie Mark reunited with his former boss Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette) in one of the cut off birthabards. Cobel asks Mark if he has finished the ominous “Cold Harbor” file, which he does not have. During the season, viewers are led to believe that Gemma will die as soon as Cold Harbor is completed, confirmed by Cobel.
Mark is told how he can save Gemma, but is reluctant, because he is also told that it can mean that his department can be closed as a result, and effectively eradicate the lives of all the ‘innie’ who work there. Both Innie and Outie Mark tried to solve their problem by recording messages on a video camera for each other, but they disagree. Outie market drives the idea that they exist together through the ‘reintegration’ process, but in the market does not remain convinced.

Cobel enters and tells Mark that the numbers he sees on his screen every day are a ‘gate’ in Gemma’s mind. More to the point, the number groups are the ‘four tempers’ that make Kier’s philosophy about human emotion: woe, frolic, anxiety and malice. Mark says he completed 24 out of 25 files, with Cold Harbor the last one. Each file is a different personality for Gemma, to the shock of Mark. Mark is becoming increasingly skeptical of others’ motives, and tells Cobel that Outie Mark is the best return to work or ‘he will never see his wife again’.
Outie market obliged and the very next scene is that Mark arrives on the cut -off floor, now followed by Helly. They are both confronted with a large painting called “The Exalted Victory of Cold Harbor” which contains each character from the series so far. Lumon made the lighting on the floor much darker and more breeding than usual, all in anticipation that Mark Cold Harbor completed. Mark and Helly return to their office where they are greeted by a Kier mannequin who wants to see the historical completion of the file.
Mark completes the file with tears flowing over his face, realizing that he will never lead a fulfilling life with Helly. Once the final numbers have been submitted, an over-the-top light and sound show begins, while the Keir Mark Mannequin congratulates that he has become ‘one of the most important people in history’. Mr. Milchick then comes up to launch a performance of the Choreography and Merriment Division – essentially a large copper band that is launched in a very hard routine to the surprise of Mark and Helly.

When he realizes that it is probably a way to contain market in the room, Helly decides to deduce Milchik by stealing his walkie-talkie and capturing him in a bathroom-a recurring Dylan later helps to suppress Milchick. Mark quickly makes its exit and uses the directions written by Irving to run to the corridor leading to the test floor, where Gemma is held.
Mr. Drummond (Darri Ulafsson) comes from the test floor and opens a strange room we haven’t seen before. Lorne (Gwendoline Christie) and a goat of the Noeselable Department of Mammalians will be joined soon. It soon becomes clear that the Boks we saw sporadically throughout the show are part of a sacrificial ceremony in which Lumon believes.
What is Cold Harbor?
Meanwhile, Gemma entered the Cold Harbor Room on the test floor where she was observed on monitors by Jame Eagan and Dr Mauer in separate rooms. Unlike some phante theories, Cold Harbor did not result in Gemma drowning or an immediate death. Instead, she is forced to go through the monotonous task to dissolve a manger, probably a nod to the miscarriage we saw in episode seven, except that Gemma’s new personality has no knowledge. It is noteworthy that she was wearing the same clothes she wore the night as Mark and others accepted that she was dead.
It is noteworthy that Jame Eagan looks from a private room he obtained from a lift that “sung” on arrival. In severance, the elevators are only “thing” if someone switches between an innie and an autum.

Back on the cut -off floor, Mr. Drummond Lorne or the goat ‘can lead the spirit of a cherished woman to Kier’s door’. If she confirms that this is the task, he gives her a gun and asks her to “give me his life”. Before she pulls the trigger, she asks, “How much more should I give?” indicating that this is not the first time she has been through this ritual. They are further derived by market now trying to break down the door to the test floor.
Drummond is physically taking into account Mark, but Lorne can team up with her cut colleague and she and Mark to overcome Drummond. Mark then accompanies Drummond with a rifle point to the test floor lift and tells him to take him to the Cold Harbor room when they get to the floor. However, if the elevator reaches the floor, turn market to its Outie and accidentally kill Drummond.
By searching the test floor mark, it eventually finds the Cold Harbor room before Gemma completed the task. Despite not recognizing him, Mark convinces her to leave with him. The couple is fully reunited when Gemma switches to her grant while leaving the room. Their moving reunion is being cut short, as Dr. Mauer is now chasing them in an attempt to stop them from returning to the cut -off floor. They reach the elevator just before Dr. Mauer can catch up. While the doors close, Mauer tells Mark: “You will kill everyone.”
They successfully return to the floor, but are now Mark and another of Gemma’s Innie personas, Me Casey. When he understands his task, Mark walks with Me Casey to the staircase and helps her go out, and thus Gemma is eventually freed from Lumon’s connections.

However, Helly arrives and despite the pleas of Gemma, Mark decides to run back to Helly, while they are both preparing to face the consequences of their actions, leaving Gemma in an uncertain position in the outside world.
When will season three arrive?
At a typical severance fashion, the season final ends on a stone hanger and fans are likely to have more questions than answers. Although season took three years to arrive, Ben quieter gave assurances that fans did not have to wait so long for next season.
“No, the plan is not [wait three years]”Said quieter on Jason and Travis Kelce New heights Podcast. “Hopefully we’ll announce the plan soon.”
