Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
“The federal government has invested in our public schools,” Warren said in an exclusive interview with ABC News. “The removal of this from our children, so a handful of billionaires is even more rich is just ugly and I will fight everything I have.”
Warren suggested that he worked with students, teachers, parents and alliances to “sound the alarm” throughout the country.
“My starting point with this campaign is that I know the power of telling stories and the power it brings to organize people in the battle. We need numbers to win and so we start,” Warren said.
In a short video received by ABC News that Warren has published on his approximately 20 million followers on social media on Wednesday morning, Warren says an investigation into reported plans to replace the Call Centers of the Chatbots Ministry. ABC News did not independently confirm these reports.

Warren said that through a combination of federal investigations, supervision, storytelling and even lawsuits, it would work with the community, including Congress MPs, to do everything possible to protect public education. Warren did not provide further details about how he plans to challenge the administration through federal supervision and court cases.
A former special education teacher, Warren said he was opposed to the main repair of the Trump Administration Agency because he said it could lead to fired teachers and increased class sizes, adding that programs for special needs students would “disappear”. However, the Trump administration has sworn to maintain legal funding, such as special -needs students.
Trump said that these services for students with disabilities, such as those protected by the Law on the Education of People with Disabilities, will be repeated in other departments, including the Ministry of Health and Human Services, which is subjected to the massive redundancies themselves.
“They think the American people are stupid [and] It will be fooled by hitting a different door title and somehow our children will receive the help they are entitled to, “Warren told ABC News.
“No one is mistaken and certainly not the children who need this help,” she added.
The Trump administration said it was returning the education to the United States in the dismantling of the federal department and that the students would be better served by their state agencies.
The campaign is also personal to Warren. In the video received by ABC News, Warren said she had seen with her own eyes what the Ministry of Education for families with special needs was doing and that she was doing her best to “fight”.
Warren said she was inspired by his second grade teacher to join the educational ranks.
“Every time someone asked about my future, I would endure a little higher and say,” I will be a teacher, “Warren recalled. “This has directed me throughout my life.”
Last month, Trump signed an enforcement order aimed at extracting the Ministry of Education. It directs McMahon to close the department using all the necessary steps allowed under the law. However, elimination of the department will require an act of congress as it was created by Congress.

The campaign comes as a result of the department, which reduced almost half of its workforce last month. Hundreds of students in the students’ federal office of students were released, which Warren said there could be “serious consequences” on tens of millions of student loan borrowers who rely on a $ 1.6 trillion student’s loan portfolio for higher education. Trump said student loans will already be processed by the small business administration.
“It seems that the Ministry of Education (ED) is abandoning millions of parents, students and borrowers who rely on a functioning federal student assistance system to reduce the cost of education,” Warren wrote and a group of democratic senators in a letter calling for McMahon to recover federal employees.
FSA operations have already been affected, according to a well -known source. The federal student loan website was reduced shorter than 24 hours after the agency decreased. The dismissed IT employees were summoned frantically to join a call to troubleshoots in hours to recover the website for millions of borrowers, according to the source.
As part of the launch of the Warren campaign, the Senator said it would also emphasize the impact of the real world on teachers, students and families through a series of collections of stories. She said she encouraged community members to share applications on how public education influenced their lives and what it means to them. Warren told ABC News that she had made a similar campaign with federal officers at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau earlier this year.

However, Warren’s investigations and federal supervision may be impeded by Democrats’ position in Washington.
“The Democrats are in the minority in the House and the Senate. Obviously, we don’t have the White House, but not to have as much power as we want does not mean that we have no power,” Warren told Abc News. “We still have a lot of things we can do. This combination of investigations, supervision, stories and lawsuits is that we can combine more power and push backwards, and this already gives some results.”
In the meantime, the administration’s desire to abolish the agency has already sparked a legal battle from a coalition of countries and groups of education and civil rights, including a group of teaching unions and state schools in the home state of Warren Massachusetts.
The senator said he hoped every person who is interested in education has joined his campaign.
“We have to fight for America, in which not only the children of billionaires receive a good education, but it is every child in every community a great education,” she said. “This battle is our battle.”
