Up to six vehicles involved a collision on Tuesday morning at the Tanggu Main Road (DVP), possibly due to black ice Caused by unusually cold April temperatures.
Toronto police received reports of six car crashes on the southbound DVP on East Avenue before 5:30 a.m.
Vehicles may spin on the road due to the black ice formed in the area, health workers told Citynews. The first responder was on the scene and has not been reported yet.
Southbound DVP is closed on Bayview and ramps. The vehicle was transferred to Richmond Street and the driver was advised to seek alternative routes.
Police responded to a multiple car accident at Gardiner Expressway East on York Street on Tuesday morning.
Three cars were involved in the collision and no injuries were reported. Delays are expected in the area.
Toronto may record one of the coldest April days on Tuesday, with temperatures of -6 c in the morning and air cooling of -15.
