Russia and Ukraine traded heavy airwills overnight, with both sides reporting more than 100 enemy drones over their respective areas.
The attack comes less than 24 hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US envoy Steve Witkoff to discuss details about the US proposal for a 30 -day ceasefire in the war with Ukraine,
Andrei Bocharov, a Regional Government of Volgrad, confirmed that falling drone debris in the Krasnoarmeysky district in the city near a Lukoil oil was caused, but provided no further details. Airports in the area temporarily stopped flights, reports local media. No casualties were reported.
The Volograd refinery has been targeted by Kyiv’s forces on several occasions since Moscow launched his full-scale invasion of Ukraine more than three years ago, most recently in a drone attack on February 15.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it shot dead 126 Ukrainian drones, 64 of which were destroyed over the follow -upgrades region. Drones were also shot over the Stonezh, Belgorod, Bryansk, Rostov and Kursk regions, officials said.
Meanwhile, Ukraine Air Force said on Saturday that Russia had launched a barrage of 178 drones over the country overnight. The barrage was a mixture of Shahed-type attack drones and imitation drones designed to confuse air defense. About 130 drones were shot dead, while another 38 were lost on their way to their targets.
