Russell Brand was charged with rape between 1999 and 2005 and two counts of sexual assault.
Metropolitan police say the comedian, 50, was also charged with one score of oral rape and one score of indecent assault.
The charges are related to four women.
He will appear at the Westminster Magistrate’s Court on Friday, May 2.

The fourth charge claims that a woman was sexually assaulted in Westminster between 2004 and 2005.
