The 120 -year -old Till St. Hall has just undergone a $ 377,000 update after 150 unpaid volunteers across the country worked with Oamaru residents in a comprehensive reform in the last three months.
Sharyn Dobisz, a member of Oamaru Kingdom Hall, said the reforms of Jehovah’s Witness Centers were organized nationally, and Oamaru has been the focus since early December.
A multitude of volunteers from all over the country undertook the update.
The next project was in Waimate, Dobisz said.
Now they were eager to resume their open meetings in until St, she said, where about 55 people attended on Sunday mornings and Thursday night.
She particularly appreciated the “new fresh and clean lines” of the reform that completely updated the building.
Janos Dobisz said the work from December 2 involved everything that was “taken” from the salon, which was built over 35 years ago.
The hall was completely isolated and renounced.
During the renovation, the members gathered at Pukeuri Memorial Hall, for which they were grateful, he said.
Renewal also included messages, a new parking lot, a new roof; A new ceiling, painting, carpet and tiles, new windows and joinery, new air conditioning and a new AV system “to improve the learning environment”.
The first meeting in the newly remedied Hall was held on Thursday night and Sunday’s first service is this weekend at 10am.
