A Rangers star is the center of a police investigation into his team’s winning goal celebrations on Sunday against Celtic.
Vaclav Cerny, 27, saw him spraying competitive fans with a water bottle as he chased the tangent over the excitement about teammate Hamza Igamane’s last Gasp winner.
Sky Sports captured the incident when the cameras paned to Barry Ferguson to get the response from the interim manager of Rangers.
The actions of the Cernelgian winger Cerny – lent to the German Bundesliga team Wolfsburg – caused a furious response from the Hoops supporters, with police and security forced to step in to defuse the situation.
Police Scotland has now confirmed that it is investigating the incident.
A spokesman for the power said: “Officers have been launching information and inquiries.”
Rangers were contacted for comment.
