Queensland hit by ‘horrific’ flood damage, residents airlifted to safety

More than 100 houses in the west of Queensland have been flooded and dozens of people have been safe.

The Meteorology Office warned that river levels will probably exceed floods in 1974.

The beef producer Geoff Lloyd was transferred by plane from his property on Thursday.

“The losses have been horrible,” he said Weekend today.

“I’ve been flying and living in that river for 30 years, and this is nothing we have seen.”

He urged the army to intervene to redistribute aviation gas supplies.

“The helicopter pilots here, the pilots of the meeting are doing incredible job saving the life and stock of people,” he said.

“But they have to travel too far to Avgas. We need the Avgas delivered near where they are working.”

Speaking today in Brisbane, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that funds had been put for local governments,

$ 2.5 million of dollars in state and federal funds have also been assigned to fall into fodder for cattle that are affected by these flood events.

“We will make the resources available, including the ADF, they may help in some of the drops,” said Albanese.

The Meteorology Office has warned about more rain throughout the state.

There are numerous flood warnings for the rivers, including the Thomson River, the Paroo River and the Warrego River basin.

The Red Tierra City of Jundah, about 1300 kilometers from Brisbane with a population of just over 100 people, is a new epicenter for the emergency.

There are fears that the waters of the floods can clean the city of the map.

“We have a community without power, without sewerage and we have several evacuations in which people have gone to a higher land in the golf course,” said Crisafulli.

Fears remain for hundreds of thousands of cattle and sheep that have been trapped in flood waters.

Cyclone hits wa, generalized rain on NSW

In other places, Tropical Dianne cyclone touched land on the coast of Western Australia this morning at 5 am

The storm will weaken below the cycle levels during the morning.

Dianne will go through the small city of Derby, about 200 kilometers northeast of Broome.

In NSW, the Enteroology office has predicted strong rains for much of the day around Sydney and in the north of the state.

The liquefaction predicts “a generalized rain and the possibility of thunderstorms in most areas, contracted to the east and clearing the western end of the state during the day.”
