A Qantas pilot had to be treated by paramedics after suffering from chest pains on a domestic flight.
The pilot did not fly the plane, and Qantas said that Boeing 737 that was heading from Brisbane to Sydney on Monday when QF505 landed “as normal.”
The captain asked the QF505 customer service manager to use a defibrillator in it, the newspaper reported.
The defibrillator pads were placed in the captain in the cabin, but the equipment was not used.
“The other pilot was operating the plane at that time and landed the plane in Sydney in a normal way,” Qantas told 9News.
“The pilot was treated by paramedics at the door and transferred to the hospital.”
He landed about 20 minutes late at 9.01 am today, according to Flight Award.
The Air Transport Security Office told the Herald that had been notified from the incident and was collecting more information.
