A former Top College footballer died with her family in a private aircraft crash in New York state.
The twin car Mitsubishi Mu-2B fell shortly after noon in a muddy field in Copake, near the border between Massachusetts, on Saturday and killed all six people on board.
Among the victims was Karenna Groff, a former footballer MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), who was named the Woman of the Year of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).
Her neuroscientific father, Dr Michael Groff, her mother, Dr Joy Sainin, a urogineecologist, and her brother, Jared Groff, who worked as a Paralegal, were also killed.

Karenna Groff’s boyfriend, James Santoro, and Jared Groff’s partner, Alexia Couyutas Duarte, also died.
The father of Mr. Santoro, John Santoro, said: “The 25 years we had with James were the best years of our lives … and the joy and love He brought us will be enough to last a lifetime.”
He described Karenna Groff and her family members as “a wonderful family”.
“The world has lost many very good people who are going to do very well for the world if they had the opportunity. We are all personally ruined,” he added.

They boarded Michael Groff’s private aircraft on the Westchester County Airport in White Plains, a suburb of New York CitySaturday morning to fly to the airport in Columbia County.
But the plane crashed about ten kilometers to the south and was “compressed, bent and embedded in the site,” said Todd Inman, National Transport Safety Council (NTSB) official.
Shortly before the plane came down, the pilot had air traffic control at Columbia County airport to say that he missed the initial approach and requested a new approach plan, he said.
Investigators obtained a video of the final seconds of the flight, which “appeared to be that the plane was intact and crashed into the ground at a high descent,” he added.
A complete accident report can take between 12 and 24 months to complete.
It comes days after a family of five Spanish tourists, including three children, in a helicopter accident Thursday in the Hudson River.
