Police give an update after a newborn baby was found dead outside a church in West London.
Metropolitan police said officers and the ambulance service were called in Notting Hill on Tuesday at 12.46 o’clock after the end of Talbot Road.
The baby was pronounced dead at the scene.
The power has called on the child’s mother to come forward, as the ‘crucial will receive your medical help and support’.
Superintendent Owen Renowden called it an ‘extremely sad and shocking case’ on Tuesday.
He said: “This investigation is in the early stages and our immediate priority is to locate the baby’s mother, which we think is very recently birth.
“If you are the baby’s mother and read it, then come to the police or medical experts.
‘You need to feel very scared, but please let us help – we are very concerned about you and it is extremely important that you get medical help and support. You can enter into any hospital or a police station. ‘
